Toroidal transformer
Usually reserved for leading Hi-Fi components, the A-S1200 takes advantage of the technical prowess and absolute musicality of the toroidal transformer. The concept of mechanical grounding
The A-S1200 adopts the mechanical grounding concept inherited from the A-S2200 and A-S3200. The concept starts with foot bolts welded directly to the main chassis, followed by a large heatsink, power transformer and block capacitors that are also directly bolted to the chassis. Through this design, unwanted vibrations are avoided, achieving an expressive and rhythmic bass, presenting the 'groove' of the music to the listener.
