  The new Twisted Flare port produces clean and tight bass
  The all-new Twisted Flare Port takes advantage of extensive experience in subwoofer development. The flared, gently twisting shape disperses the vortex of air that forms around the edge of the opening, creating a smooth airflow. This reduces extraneous noise not present in the original input signal and allows for clear, precise low-frequency reproduction. From the sounds of special effects in movies to the atmosphere of a live venue, you hear bass that is clear, tight and realistic.
  
  Developed by Yamaha, Advanced YST II (Yamaha Active Servo Technology II) combines the principles of negative impedance and constant current to drive the speaker diaphragm with even tighter control than the previous version. Using Advanced Negative Impedance Converter (ANIC) circuitry, this system dynamically optimizes the speaker's effective impedance to maintain excellent linearity. This means more stable and precise low-range response, not to mention higher sound quality.
