Description

Specially designed for custom whole-home audio system integration, the "AMP" serves as a follow-up amplifier for the Yamaha XDA-QS5400RK to extend speaker coverage and/or increase output power. It can also be used to extend the speaker coverage of the secondary zone for Yamaha AV receivers that have Zone pre-outputs.

The XDA-AMP5400RK - "AMP" - is intended as a companion to the Yamaha XDA-QS5400RK as a way to provide additional speaker coverage and/or additional speaker output in a custom integrated multi-room home audio system. It also pairs nicely with Yamaha AV receivers that offer Zone pre-outputs.

Phenomenal flexibility
Feed up to four sources from the QS pre-out to the AMP – its four audio I/O buses can be connected together to handle a wide range of speaker/zone configurations. The AMP comes with a set of jumper plugs and cables, making it ultra-versatile right out of the box. The audio outputs can alternatively be used to connect a subwoofer or subwoofer amplifier.

Engineered to sound extraordinary

Audiophile level amplifier
The AMP uses ultra-efficient ICEpower integrated circuits to deliver eight channels of pristine, music-dynamic digital amplification at 50 watts per channel (8 ohms) with an outstanding frequency response from 5 Hz to 40 kHz (+0/-3 dB) and a signal- noise of 108 dB. It has a resistance of 4 ohms, capable of 100 watts per channel and bridging to 200 watts per channel (8 ohms).


Goodbye Ground Loop Hum
The curse of the custom integrator: ground loop hum, a common and annoying side effect of connecting a bunch of electronics together in a rack. AMP takes care of this with a brilliantly engineered differential circuit design. Sometimes what you don't hear sounds the most amazing.


High performance under the hood
The AMP uses a balanced audio circuit and PML capacitors, which are also used in our flagship AVENTAGE AV separators. The result: greater realism and expressiveness for all your favorite music.

Versatile installation
Mount it in a rack with the lugs included or remove the lugs for shelf mounting. The included magnetic front panel prevents tampering and provides a perfect cosmetic finish.


Harmonic control
When the QS and AMP are used together, simply connect the trigger jacks to automatically turn on/off the desired amplifier zones – no additional control interface required. The AMP also works great as a supplement to the AVENTAGE AV receiver. When using the AMP with other sources, audio sensor inputs and infrared I/O provide additional control flexibility.


Connectivity adapted to user needs
The AMP is truly built for custom integration, with Euroblock-style speaker connectors and a detachable AC cable for smart connectivity.
