Description

Specially designed for custom integration of whole home audio systems, the "QS" (Quad Streamer) provides four zones of audio streaming and eight channels of high-performance audio amplification in an ultra-slim 1U rack-mountable chassis. Expandable and extremely flexible, the QS works with the MusicCast multi-room audio system, allowing it to connect to home theater AV receivers, soundbars and Hi-Fi equipment in a wide range of configurations.

It spreads easily
Multiple QS units can be used together to expand up to 32 zones while simultaneously playing linked groups of up to 20 zones each. In addition, the QS offers four zone pre-outputs that allow it to be combined with the Yamaha XDA-AMP5400RK, a companion multi-room amplifier, to provide more power or greater speaker coverage for large areas in the home. The pre-outputs can also be used to connect active subwoofers or subwoofer amplifiers.

Engineered to sound extraordinary

Audiophile level amplifier
No ordinary amplifier, the QS uses ultra-efficient ICEpower integrated circuits to deliver eight channels of pristine, music-dynamic digital amplification at 50 watts per channel (8 ohms) with an outstanding frequency response from 10Hz to 22kHz (+0/-3dB). and a signal-to-noise ratio of 106 dB. It has a resistance of 4 ohms, capable of 100 watts per channel and bridging to 200 watts per channel (8 ohms).


Goodbye Ground Loop Hum
The curse of the custom integrator: ground loop hum, a common and annoying side effect of connecting a bunch of electronics together in a rack. QS takes care of this with a brilliantly engineered differential circuit design. Sometimes what you don't hear sounds the most amazing.


High resolution audio
Experience every detail of your favorite shots. The QS supports high-resolution audio playback up to 192kHz/24-bit and uses the same high-end ESS Saber DACs (Digital-to-Analog Converters) and PML capacitors used in our flagship AVENTAGE AV receivers.

Versatile installation
Mount it in a rack with the lugs included or remove the lugs for shelf mounting. The included magnetic front panel prevents tampering and provides a perfect cosmetic finish.


Custom connectivity and control
The QS is truly built for custom integration, with Euroblock-style speaker connectors, dual RJ-45 Ethernet ports and a detachable AC cable for smart connectivity, and IP, IR and 12V Trigger Out ports for versatile control.

Three ways to handle external sources
In addition to supporting external sources via connection to MusicCast receivers and soundbars, the QS offers an Aux input that can be selected for playback in any zone and a Cut-In input that automatically detects the input signal and temporarily overrides the selected source. This gives you the flexibility to integrate media players, CD changers or even paging systems. Thru-Outs allow you to set up a bus for additional QS units.

Chime's contact closure inputs allow you to generate doorbell chimes or, for example, door alerts from a regular switch. Output zones and ringtone selection can be configured using web settings.
